Wales captain Aaron Ramsey has signed a two-year deal with his childhood club, Cardiff City.

Ramsey made 22 appearances for Cardiff as a youth and six more in 2011 while on loan from Arsenal. He is returning to Wales after playing for Nice in France. He continues to be the team's youngest player.

In addition to winning the FA Cup three times with Arsenal after participating in the 2008 final, he also won the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia, and the Scottish Cup while on loan at Rangers before moving on to Nice.

He has been in Europa League finals with Arsenal and Rangers, as well as for Wales in two European Championships and a World Cup.

"It feels unbelievable to be back here," Ramsey told Cardiff's website. It's the perfect time for me to return, and I've always thought I would one day. It's wonderful to be back with my family and around familiar faces, so I'm glad to be here. I'd missed them a lot in the previous year or two, so it was vital for me to be back among them.

After signing his contracts, Ramsey shared pictures of himself and his son Sonny, who has now joined Cardiff's academy.
