The Ligue 1 team said on Monday that Goncalo Ramos, a Portuguese striker, has been signed by Paris St. Germain from Benfica on a season-long loan with a buy option.

The decision to join Paris Saint-Germain fills me with tremendous pleasure and joy. The 22-year-old added in a statement that PSG is one of the largest clubs in the world and has one of the finest teams.

Ramos joined the Benfica youth team at the age of 12 and made his professional debut in 2020. In 106 games for the Portuguese champion, Ramos scored 41 goals and provided 16 assists.

After replacing all-time leading scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, he made headlines in his first World Cup appearance last year with a hat-trick to help Portugal reach the semifinals.

PSG wants to sign Ousmane Dembele

Along with Ramos, PSG recently signed Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Lee Kang-in, Hugo Ekitike, Lucas Hernandez, and Manuel Ugarte. Former Barcelona and Spain coach Luis Enrique took over as manager of PSG in July, succeeding Christophe Galtier.

Ousmane Dembele, a France striker, is also close to signing a contract with Barcelona, according to Ligue 1 champion PSG.
