Arnautovic will return to San Siro for a second stint. He was a member of the squad during Jose Mourinho's treble-winning season in 2009-10.
Marko is a complete attacker who is equally skilled with both feet, according to Inter, who described him as "a physically intimidating but technically gifted player."
Arnautovic has 108 Austrian caps, scoring 34 goals.
Earlier this season, Inter signed French forward Marcus Thuram on a free transfer.
