Lionel Messi, the Argentine World Cup winner, arrived in Miami on Tuesday ahead of his anticipated move to the David Beckham-owned MLS club Inter Miami. The 36-year-old arrived in the United States of America on a private plane to finalize a two-year agreement for roughly 60 million Euros.

In an interview with his own country's television network, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner expressed satisfaction with his decision to go to North America.

" We made the right decision, and I am happy with it. Former Barcelona star Lionel Messi says he is eager to face the new challenge.

Despite his numerous accomplishments for club and country, the Rosario genius stated that he is still as eager as ever to give his all every time he steps onto the pitch.

It is not going to change my mindset or my head, and I will continue to give the maximum to myself and the club, wherever I am," said the former PSG player.

Messi, perhaps the finest player in football history, reached the summit of the sport last year when he helped the Albiceleste win the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Messi also led his country, Argentina, to two Copa America titles and a Finalissima triumph. In advance of the 2026 World Cup, which the USA, Canada, and Mexico will host, Messi's relocation to North America would provide the region with a much-needed boost.

Lionel Messi’s decision to switch to the MLS will go down in football history as a watershed moment.
