After joining Celtic on loan from Benfica in 2021, the 24-year-old Portuguese winger committed to a five-year deal with the team last summer. He has 28 goals and 26 assists in 83 appearances for Glasgow over two years and has been extensively connected with a £25 million move to Al-Ittihad in recent days.
Celtic signed winger Marco Tilio, 21, from Melbourne City last week.
Since taking over for Postecoglou, Brendan Rodgers has also signed midfielder Odin Thiago Holm from Valerenga.
Jota scored the game-winning goal in Celtic's 3-1 Scottish Cup final victory against Inverness, completing the club's sixth domestic triple in seven years.

The Portugal age-grade international was an important component of Ange Postecoglou's team, winning all but one of the six Scottish trophies available during his spell.
Jota averaged a goal or assist per 111 minutes for Celtic, but he joins boss Postecoglou and the retiring Aaron Mooy in departing this summer.
He joins teammates Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante at Al-Ittihad.
