SHORT NOTES:

  • T Seifert vs SLAO in T20s since 2021: 7 Outs at 26 Avg, 112 SR (Wellington Masakadza pressure and Noor Ahmad threat with left arm wrist spin). Rotate him out in some GLs especially if the pitch is the slow one. Keep him for other leagues.
  • Even Hazratullah Zazai does not have a great record against these bowling types and also has Hafeez threat if he opens the bowling. That said, he is one of the most experienced batters in this format with an average of 50 and is the top scorer in the Ab Dhabi T10 league.
  • Tom Banton vs Express Pace since 2021: T20: 9 outs at 15 Avg, 118 SR; T10: 3 Outs at 5 Avg, 84 SR (Mohammad Amir threat). The main threat for the Buffaloes top order will be Amir and if Dupavillon bowls from the other end, then they cold be very vulnerable. The last time these two sides met, Banton scored a half century but Amir di not play in that match  and he gained most of the momentum by smashing Brad Evans in the second over.
  • Yusuf Pathan came out to bat at Number 4 and while he did not look very comfortable against the pacers and scored most of his runs against an inexperienced spinner. Alternatively, there is Ravi Bopara, who is in good form coming from the T20 Blast and he seems to be a much more reliable pick for today.
