Wicketkeeper
- Baba Indrajith has demoted himself down the order in the absence of Ravichandran Ashwin and the team needed batting stability in the middle order. He also struggles against left arm orthodox spin which the Spartans will look to attack him with, using their two quality left-arm spinners (Sachin Rathi, N Selva Kumaran, plus Mokit Hariharan)
- Adithya Ganesh is a good player against left arm orthodox spin and has now become an important player in their batting unit. We will consider backing him in our team especially if DD are chasing.
Batter
- Shivam Singh and Kaushik Gandhi have looked in good touch this season and we will back them in our base team.
- R Vimal Khumar will be key for Dindigul Dragons inorder to counter Salem's double left-arm spin threat. He is a left handed batter and that gives him better leverage to counter that bowling type. He will face some threats from Tanwar and Sandhu early on, especially if he is batting first. On the other hand, he will become an important part our fantasy team if he is chasing.
- Mokit Hariharan now has allround value as he will bat in the middle order and also bowl a couple of overs of his left arm orthodox spin at this ground.
Allrounder
- Sunny Sandhu and P Saravana Kumar are in good form, therefore both these bowlers will be part of our team. Sandhu in particular, has been promoted to Number 4 in the last 2 games and this has boosted his fantasy potential massively. He is a default captaincy pick in this match for that reason.
- M Mathivannan as we expected put out an amazing performance in his first game at Tirunelveli this season. Back him as a differential pick as he is selected in only 22% of the teams and he can also contribute some runs in the lower order.
Bowler
- Abhishek Tanwar, Varun Chakravarthy and Subodh Bhati should be automatic picks.
- Left arm spinners - N Selvakumaran and Sachin Rathi from Salem Spartans picked up 3 wickets each in their first game and we will look to back at least one of them in our teams.
