Points to Consider

  • Northern Districts players - Tim Seifert, Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, Mitchell Santner. Seddon Park, Hamilton is the home ground of the Northern Districts, where this match will be played.
  • Finn Allen dominated and smashed 24 runs in a single over against Shaheen Afridi in the first T20I. He is generally considered to be a hit-or-a-miss type batter and we will have to keep his issues against left-arm pace in mind, when making our teams once again.
  • Mitchell Santner who missed the first T20I due to COVID, will travel to Hamilton separately. There is no confirmation if he is fully fit to feature in the XI but he will hope to do so in front of his home fans at Seddon Park.
  • Ish Sodhi can be preferred as a differential pick if New Zeland are bowling second. As a wrist spinner, the scoreboard pressure on the chasing team is something he can take advantage of.

Points to Consider

  • Abbas Afridi had an impressive national team debut with a 3-fer, justifying his selection in the team based off his outstanding performance in the PSL 2023 season. He can be a good pick particularly if Pakistan is bowling first.
  • Aamer Jamal was another debutant who also completed his full quota of 4 overs. He also offers some good batting value lower down the order. Not to mention, he is an allrounder coming from a very good Test series in Australia. Consider trying him as a differential pick in your fantasy teams.
  • The only batter who showed an attacking intent for Pakistan in the first game apart from Babar Azam (post 30 balls), was youngster Saim Ayub, who scored a quickfire 27 off just 8 balls. He can be a good punt pick to try due to the small boundaries at this venue despite a strong Kiwi bowling attack.
