IND-AUS Players in the top 10 leading wicket-takers list in T20s at venue since 2018:  Avesh Khan(7), Deepak Chahar(8)

Ground Dimensions: Raipur has relatively large boundaries, which is the 3rd biggest in India and the 4th biggest cricket ground in the world.

Pitch Report: In the Road Safety Series that was played at Raipur in October 2022, the team batting first scored 170 runs in 4 out of the 5 matches. We can expect a lot more bounce at Raipur, which provides assistance for pacers, especially with the new ball, and due to the large boundaries, spinners will also have some advantage.

Dew is also forecasted for the evening. The pitch report ahead of the toss will be key to getting a better idea about the conditions.

Fantasy Notes (INDIA) - India vs Australia, 4th T20I, Dream11 Prediction

MATCHUPS

Ishan Kishan vs Left Arm Pace in Overs 1-6 (T20s since 2022): Outs - 8, Balls - 191, Avg/SR - 26/106

Ishan Kishan vs Wrist Spin in T20s since 2022: Outs - 7, Balls - 99, Avg/SR - 19/137

Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Wrist Spin in T20s since 2022: Outs - 7, Balls - 117, Avg/SR - 24/144

Points to Consider

  • Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Chahar have joined the squad for the last 2 T20Is and both players are likely to find a place in the XI, with Chahar playing a key role with the new ball at Raipur. Back him as a differential pick especially if he bowls in the first innings.
  • With atleast two left handers in the top 4 of Team India and in the absence of Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Short might have some role to play with his off spin. However, if Chris Green manages to find a place in the XI, Short's value with the ball might become nil. With the bat, he has been attacking (> 150 SR in all T20s since 2022 and 187 SR in T20Is) in the powerplay but he has massively struggled against wrist spin in his career so far.
  • The top 3 Indian batters have improved their record against left arm pace in the powerplay, but neverthelss, Jason Behrendoff can do some early damage if there is good amount and seam and swing with the new ball. In the only international game at Raipur, we saw India pick up 3 wickets in the powerplay against New Zealand earlier this year. (ODI)

Fantasy Notes (AUSTRALIA) - India vs Australia, 4th T20I, Dream11 Prediction

MATCHUPS

Ben McDermott vs Left Arm Pace in Overs 1-6 (T20s since 2022): Outs - 10, Balls - 156, Avg/SR - 19/124

Josh Phillipe vs Left Arm Pace in Overs 1-6 (T20s since 2022): Outs - 5, Balls - 65, Avg/SR - 11/81

Matthew Short vs Wrist Spin (T20s since 2022): Outs - 16, Balls - 147, Avg/SR - 11/121

Arshdeep Singh vs Right Handers in Overs 1-6 (T20s since 2022): Wickets - 15, Overs - 86, Bowling Average - 55 (Poor)

Points to Consider

  • Ben McDermott, Josh Phillipe, Chris Green, and Ben Dwarshius have reached India ahead of the 4th T20I. They will replace Sean Abbott, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Steven Smith and Adam Zampa will return back to Australia.
  • While both McDermott and Phillipe have struggled against left arm pace bowling type, they will find solace in the fact that Arshdeep Singh is a much more effective bowler in the powerplay against left handers than right handers. That makes us to continue considering both of them in our teams, if they play. Neither players have so far been able to take advantage of their opportunities in the national team.
  • Kane Richardson is generally most known for his effectiveness at the death overs but he did not bowl in the last 5 overs in the last match. Ellis, Hardie and Behrendoff bowled in the final phase, and this can limit his fantasy potential when compared to his usually reliable value of picking up wicjets at the death overs.
