Drawing parallels with chess and cricket, Chahal illustrates the difference between individual and team sports. He highlights that cricket requires team players to work harmoniously, and sometimes, players may have to sit out for a few series.
Chahal remains positive about the dynamic nature of team selection, knowing that opportunities will come in due course.
“I have played chess, it is an individual game but cricket is a team sport. Out of fifteen people in the squad only eleven can play. In the past few series, when I was playing Kuldeep was not getting the chances,” he added.
