Jaiswal's Love for Test Cricket

Jaiswal revealed his fondness for Test cricket, highlighting his enjoyment of the challenges it presents. With a passion for the longer format, Jaiswal finds joy in facing the swinging and seaming ball, relishing the opportunities to express himself on the field.

"I love Test cricket, I like this challenge, I enjoy the situation when the ball swings and seams. We have worked hard on everything, I've just gone out to express myself.”

He relished the slower nature of the pitch and the difficult conditions during his innings. The Mumbai batter displayed a mature understanding of the game, stating that he takes it ball by ball and focuses on enjoying his cricket.

“The pitch is on the slower side and the outfield is very slow, it was difficult and challenging, it was pretty hot and I wanted to keep doing it for my country, just play ball-by-ball and enjoy my cricket," he added.

Jaiswal's century on debut saw him break records and carve his name in the history books. He became the 17th Indian player to achieve this feat, joining an elite group of cricketers who have left a lasting impact.

Notably, his unbeaten 143 is now the highest score by an Indian on Test debut away from home, surpassing the previous record set by former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly (131 vs England in 1996).

Yashasvi Jaiswal's journey has just begun, and his remarkable century on debut will forever be etched in the memories of cricket fans. The young talent's passion for the game, combined with his impressive skills, sets the stage for an exciting career ahead.
