Kohli and Rahul's Heroic Stand

Rohit Sharma went on to shower praise on Virat Kohli and KL Rahul's partnership, which was nothing short of brilliant. The two batsmen exhibited exceptional skill and determination, rescuing India from a challenging situation. 

After the early dismissals of Rohit, Ishan Kishan, and Shreyas Iyer, India was reeling at 3 for 2 after just two overs. Kohli and Rahul's remarkable 165-run partnership was instrumental in India's successful chase.

“I was nervous when we were 3/2, and why not? Because you never want to start an innings like that, especially when you chase such a target. Credit goes to Australia, but yeah, we did play a few loose shots,” Rohit said.

"Then, Virat and KL Rahul batted brilliantly, and the partnership took us safely to the end. Hats off to them, it was a match-winning partnership," Rohit praised.

Challenges Ahead

Looking forward to India's upcoming match in New Delhi, Rohit Sharma acknowledged the challenge of adapting to different playing conditions and surfaces throughout the tournament. 

With India scheduled to face Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 11, Rohit emphasized the team's readiness to adjust their combinations as needed.

"Adapting to the respective conditions is a bigger challenge as we will play on different surfaces and conditions. We may have to change our combinations, and the team is ready for it," Rohit remarked.
