Ganguly shared his optimistic view on the preparations, stating, "Eden's work is going well. The work will be completed in time."

Another notable figure on the committee is Abhishek Dalmiya, the former President of CAB. The current CAB President, Snehashis Gangopadhyay, has selected five additional office bearers to join the committee, aiming to distribute responsibilities effectively and foster a systematic approach to organizing the prestigious tournament.

Over the course of the next six weeks, this dedicated committee will oversee all facets of the World Cup organization.

"We have made a committee of 12 members for the World Cup. Both Sourav and Avishek, who is a member of the IPL governing council, have been included. All of us are ready to achieve success in this great yajna," Gangopadhyay shared.

These decisions were reached after thorough deliberations during the Apex Council meeting, where the formation of the committee received unanimous approval.

Additionally, a unique annual general meeting (AGM) was announced during the CAB meeting, scheduled for September 30. Notably, this year's AGM will deviate from tradition, as there will be no voting conducted.

As the clock ticks down to the start of the Cricket World Cup 2023, cricket aficionados and players alike are eagerly anticipating a tournament that promises to be a celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and the sheer love of the game.

With the CAB's comprehensive preparations and the passionate efforts of the committee members, the stage is set for a memorable cricketing spectacle at Eden Gardens and beyond.
