Rizwan continued to shine, reaching his 11th ODI fifty and taking Pakistan closer to victory. Despite some quick boundaries from Rizwan and Agha Salman, Imam's dismissal didn't hinder their progress. Rizwan completed the chase with an unbeaten 63, and Agha Salman sealed the win with a boundary.
When Bangladesh chose to bat, they had their share of struggles, losing wickets in quick succession. However, a partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim revived their innings, bringing the score to 147/4. Yet, Bangladesh faced another collapse, losing their final six wickets for just 46 runs. This dip in performance led to a below-par total.
Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah set the tone with early wickets, dismissing key Bangladeshi batsmen. Haris Rauf played a pivotal role by finishing with figures of 4 for 19, claiming his 50th ODI wicket. Naseem Shah provided vital support, taking three wickets for 34 runs.
