The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the India A squad for the two four-day matches against Bangladesh that are scheduled for December. The swashbuckling opener, Prithvi Shaw, was missing from the junior team squad even after the consistently brilliant performances in domestic cricket.
The development came even after him being among the leading run-scorers in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring 332 runs in 10 innings which includes a scintillating century as well. He has also scored 207 runs in six matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy which is currently being played among the domestic teams of India.
The fans raised their voices in the support of Prithvi Shaw and also faulted BCCI to ignore him even in the junior team.
