India will take on England in the 2nd Semi Final Match of the 2022 T20 World Cup and 12th Khiladi provides you with the Dream11 prediction and fantasy tips for this contest.

Fantasy XI

WK: Jos Buttler

BAT: Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul

AR: Hardik Pandya, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Ben Stokes

BOWL: Arshdeep Singh, Chris Jordan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar

C/VC: Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli

Differentials: Liam Livingstone (27%), Rohit Sharma (29%)

C/VC Differentials: Arshdeep Singh (4.6%), Liam Livingstone (1.3%), Sam Curran (6.3%)

  • Since we are going with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and as we expect at least a wicket from him, it does not make much sense to keep both the English openers. Alternatively, you can go with Shami and keep Hales in your team.
  • Either KL or Rohit in the XI; It is also justified to pick Rohit as the venue has short square boundaries
  • Please consider the other obvious c/vc contenders like Jos Buttler, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul
  • Good luck!

  • It is a high-scoring venue and teams that win the toss will look to bat first and put up a score on the board to defend.

India – Fantasy Notes

  • According to Cricbuzz, the team is likely to continue with Rishabh Pant in the XI instead of Dinesh Karthik. If this happens, it would also mean Hardik Pandya will be pushed down to Number 6 for the finishing role.
  • Picking players from the Indian top 4 has been the most tricky part. Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav have been the more reliable picks in this tournament, which makes them sort of default picks in most leagues.
  • Hardik Pandya provides us an all-round value and he has a good record against England with the ball. He is a safe c/vc option for this match as well.
  • Do not ignore the two Indian spinners – Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin. They will play an important role in a pitch that is reported to be used.

England – Fantasy Notes

  • According to the BBC, Dawid Malan is unlikely to feature in this match due to a groin injury and Phil Salt is the most likely candidate to replace him in the XI.
  • Jos Buttler has been troubled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the past and that is going to be the key matchup when England is batting. This is not something that should make us leave out Buttler as a player of his quality could play his overs out and attack the other bowlers.
  • Against an Indian team with plenty of right-handers, Adil Rashid will be tasked with making breakthroughs. He could also bowl in the powerplay as he was used in the last bilateral series. Pick him as a differential in your teams.
  • Similarly, Liam Livingstone will also play a key all-round role as a wrist spinner and a power hitter at Number 5. He is selected in less than 30% of the teams, which is a good opportunity to keep him in your teams.
  • Ever since Sam Curran has been assigned the role of bowling in the death overs, his fantasy value has risen exponentially. His variations and lengths at the death has allowed him to take plenty of wickets regularly.
