In the near future, the CS:GO team for G2 Esports may change its roster once more.
According to a report by 1pv.fr, Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam, the head coach of the CS:GO team, may be leaving the organisation. However, the motivations behind this hasty choice are currently known.
According to the report, “it is not yet clear if this is an organisational choice in light of recent results, the coach who would not have enough control over the decisions, or a general understanding.” After a new coach is hired, it is also “yet to be seen if other changes will be planned in the squad.”
G2 might have let go of XTQZZZ as a result of the organisation missing its first CS:GO Major since entering the scene in 2015. After suffering losses to Cloud9, 1WIN, and GamerLegion, the European team placed 12th to 14th overall in the Europe RMR A for the IEM CS:GO Major 2022.
If this information proves to be accurate, G2’s CS:GO division would undergo another change after 2.5 months. On August 16, the company hired Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen and Justin “jks” Savage to take the place of Audric “JACKZ” Jug and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen.
