The enigma Goshen returns to the 12-furlong event in search of Gary Moore’s fourth Flat victory. Last season, he won the Contenders Hurdle at Sandown and the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton over timber, and he was last seen coming third to stablemate Aggagio over two miles at Goodwood in May.

William Buick, who won 150 races this season, will be awarded champion jockey at Ascot next week. He rides Saratoga Gold, who is attempting a hat-trick, while top-weight Soto Sizzler is a course and distance victor at the track and should run near if at his best.

Torcello comes at the bottom of the weights but is another course and distance winner, while Ajero also has track winning form, having won in excellent manner over a mile and one furlong in July. Pride Of Priory has won three of his past four outings and impressed at Ascot in August. He blotted his copybook in the Lanark Silver Bell, but he’s still willing to learn more.

Tritonic is another talented hurdler who placed fourth in the Christmas Hurdle last season after winning a difficult handicap at Ascot previously. He has won two of his 11 Flat outings and was last seen coming second at Newmarket in April. On To Victory rounds out the eight participants in what appears to be an exciting race at the track.
