According to HLTV, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut of Team Vitality has surpassed the previous record for the most kills in a single series of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with 143.
ZywOo dominated the stats on his team’s side in every game as the team defeated Team Liquid (3-2) in the ESL Pro League season 16 finals yesterday.
He surpassed the mark set by Marcelo “coldzera” David of 00 Nation, who had 130 kills while representing SK Gaming in the 2017 EPICENTER finals match against Virtus.pro.
Two years after being named the best CS:GO player in the world in 2019 and 2020, ZywOo is still performing to the best of his abilities. A crucial win condition for Vitality is always the sniper stepping up, and he never ceases to astound with his reliable performance.
Following yesterday’s victory over Liquid, the team won’t have much time to relax. They must make their way through the European qualifier, which begins tomorrow, in order to compete for a spot at the 2022 IEM Rio, which will begin on October 31.
