Anjar Alam, a jockey, died on the morning of September 30th. The Bengaluru-based jockey was recently put on a ventilator due to lung problems after being admitted to Apollo Hospital. He passed away on 30th morning around 11 o’clock. He had just turned twenty. Indiarace sends its deepest sympathies to the grieving family.

He had recently ridden the freshman sire Cougar Mountain’s first winner, Tough Cookie, to victory. Trainer Irfan Ghatala should be commended for encouraging him by providing him with plenty of mounts.
