Smriti Mandhana etches his name in record books for a new record as the dashing left handed batsman becomes the fastest Indian woman to score 3000 ODI runs. She achieved this tremendous milestone in her 76th ODI innings during India’s second ODI against England in Canterbury on 21st July. She storms past India legend Mithali Raj who crossed the mark in 88 innings.

Mandhana has been in red hot form lately with the bat and the 26-year-old has already done enough to be hailed as limited-overs great in Indian Women’s cricket as she scored 5 hundreds and 24 fifties in her 76-match ODI career with a pretty good average of 43 and strike rate over 85.

Australians Belinda Clark (62) and Meg Lanning (64) take the top-two spots in the all-time list. The Indian opener is joint-third in the all-time list alongside Australia’s Karen Rolton and South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt. She’s also the third fastest in Indian Cricket to achieve this feat irrespective of any gender.
