St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will take on St Lucia Kings in CPL 2022’s 20th match and 12th Khiladi provides you with the Dream 11 prediction and fantasy tips for this contest.

Brian Lara Stadium – Venue Notes

  • Average First Innings Score in the CPL since 2018: 150
  • Bat First vs Bowl First since 2018: Win batting first – 12; Win chasing – 14
  • SKN-SLK Players in the top 10 leading run-scorers list since 2018: Darren Bravo(3), Andre Fletcher(7), Roston Chase(8), Johnson Charles(9),
  • SKN-SLK Players in the top 10 leading wicket-takers list since 2018: Scott Kuggeleijn(1)

A fresh pitch will be used for this match which might help the batters in the initial overs but otherwise, it has generally been on the slower side. As it is a day game under the heat, the pitch will likely favour the spinners and pacers with good slower-ball variations.

It gets better to bat as the match progresses but teams have also been able to defend totals with quality spin in the 2nd innings.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots – Fantasy Notes

  • Evin Lewis has shown good attacking intent in the powerplay this season but has not been able to convert them into big runs. In this match, St Lucia will use 2 off-spinners against him – a bowling type that will trouble him. He is a better pick in the 2nd innings when the pitch turns flat and gets better to bat.
  • Andre Fletcher has struggled against left-arm-spin and his matchup against Royal will be even more tricky while batting first in a day game.
  • Darren Bravo is very familiar with these conditions and has a good record against this team. He looked in good touch in the last match and he should be a must-pick for this match.
  • Pick Dwaine Pretorius and Dwayne Bravo in your teams especially when they bowl first. They can contribute points with the bat as well.
  • The spinners will once again play a key role on a pitch that is likely to be dry – Rashid Khan, Akila Dananjaya and Jaden Carmichael should put the batters under pressure and pick up a few wickets among them.

St Lucia Kings – Fantasy Notes

  • The struggle of Faf du Plessis against left-arm pace is well known and his matchup against Jansen will be crucial in the powerplay. Sheldon Cottrel is another left-arm option on the bench that the Patriots could use in this match. In that case, Dwayne Bravo might sit himself out just like in the last head-to-head.
  • Roston Chase has a fantastic record against St Kitts in the CPL and has also done well at this venue. He will be bowling against a team with 3 southpaws in their top 5.
  • Tim David will not play in this match as he has been called up by the Australian team for the T20Is against India. He has been replaced by Adam Hose in the squad – Hose who played under the captaincy of Faf in the Hundred 2022 as well.
  • Mark Deyal is likely to replace Roshon Primus in this match to utilise his Off-Spin against a Patriots team with 3 Left-handers in their top 5.
  • If Scott Kuggeleijn plays, pick him in your teams. He is the leading wicket-taker at this venue since 2018.
