After spending almost two months on the sidelines due to injury ,Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah will make his comeback to the national team in the three-match T20 International series against Australia starting this month. Bumrah had suffered a niggle during the second match of the ODI series against England in July . He also missed West Indies tour, Zimbabwe series and the Asia Cup as well owing to his back injury.
Good news for the Indian fans is that he is fit and raring to go in upcoming India vs Australia series. He posted a thank you message to the former Indian team physio Nitin Patel and other members of the medical team at NCA. He captioned the pic, “Can’t thank these men enough for their hardwork, expertise and all the hours they’ve put in to help me get back to the game.”
It is not only Bumrah who looks happy to make a comeback to competitive cricket ,the Indian team management and fans must also be relieved and pleased seeing their ace bowler gaining full match fitness.
Ever since his injury news broke out, there were doubts all over if their one of the biggest match winner would be available for the World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah has been facing back issues since 2019 and it was only a matter of time till it would arrive as he has an unorthodox action that stresses a lot on the back for his pace. But with his continuous hardwork to spend long hours at NCA made him fit before the all important upcoming mega event.
Bumrah will be looking forward for the much needed game time during India bilateral T20I series against Australia and South Africa starting from 20th and 28th September respectively.
