Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has hit out at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) saying that PCB have not done anything to help Shaheen Shah Afridi with his rehabilitation. He has gone to England with his own expenses to continue his rehabilitation.

Shahid further criticized Pakistan Cricket Board for not even bearing the expenses for his stay in England and also shown his anger on PCB for not arranging doctors for his rehabilitation. In conversation with Sawera Pasha on Samaa TV, he said, “Shaheen is paying from his own pocket to stay there in England. I arranged a doctor for him and he then contacted the doctors, we are doing this on our own. PCB is doing nothing.

This statement from one of their favorite cricketers Shahid Afridi, made Pakistan cricket fans disappointed and fans are showing their anger on PCB for not supporting a 23 year old fast bowler. Sawera Pasha, a Pakistan cricket journalist, slams PCB chairman Rameez Raza on the channel that, “He was living in Birmingham for 1 months and 22 days and all his expenses was borne by PCB, so why this unfair treatment with the cricketers.”

It is understood that Shaheen Afridi injured his knee during Pakistan tour of Srilanka and he did not take part in The Asia Cup owing to his injury. He will make a comeback in Tri-nation series in New Zealand starting from 7th October.
