Former Pakistan captain Rashid Lateef has revealed that batter Fakhar Zaman won’t be part of the Pakistan team for T20 world cup and England series owing to a knee injury.
During his conversation with Dr Nauman Riaz, He revealed, “Fakhar Zaman won’t be part of the team for the T20 World Cup and England series. He has suffered a knee injury and could be out for few months. From the information that i have, Shaheen also suffered this injury. This is part of the game, I hope he recovers soon, his fitness is out first priority “
The left handed batter has been in terrible form with the bat lately, scoring only 106 runs accross 5 matches at a poor strike rate of 103. He is being set to be replaced with Shan Masood in the upcoming T20 world cup.
Pakistan will begin their T20 world cup campaign on 23rd October against India.
