Esports Awards 2022

MortaL has been nominated for the ‘Esports Personality of the Year’ category at the Esports Awards 2022. The popular gamer from India whose name needs no introduction has bagged a nomination in the international award for the third consecutive time. MortaL’s actual name is Naman Sandeep Mathur and he hails from Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. He took the Indian gaming community by a storm with his lethal gameplay in PUBG Mobile until its ban. He has continued to do so after the game was rebranded and released again in 2021 as BGMI in India.

MortaL started streaming in YouTube with Mini Militia back in 2016. He has been an avid gamer since his childhood and has played games like GTA and Counter-Strike. He has a rabid fanbase in India and with back to back nominations in the Esports Awards he has become a global star.

The clip made everyone curious about the gamer that performed such an awesome clutch to win the match. But those were early days, after that MortaL was the most recognized name in Team Soul as they went on to wins numerous tournaments in India.

The Esports Awards nomination for ‘Esports Personality of the Year’ proves that MortaL is a force to be reckoned with in professional gaming. The Team Soul superstar is not only a hardcore gamer but also a world class entertainer who creates engaging and unique gameplaying content which are enjoyed by viewers worldwide. This was evident from his nomination at the Streamer Award category in the Esports Awards last year. He finished in second place behind the Spanish streamer Ibai.
