The Senegalese winger has left the Reds on a permanent transfer to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on a permanent transfer. However, he gave an emotional interview to the club that revealed how much he loves Liverpool and the fans at Anfield.

Fan favourite and club legend Sadio Mane has officially joined Bayern Munich after spending nearly half a decade at Merseyside. Social media was flooded with farewell messages for the Senegalese, who played a big role in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool achieving success in the league and Europe.
Mane has given an emotional farewell interview to Liverpool and some of the comments he made, show how much he loves the club and the fans.
Sadio says he will continue to watch Liverpool games.
“After every one of my games in Munich I will come to the dressing room and I will watch Liverpool, for sure, because I am going to be Liverpool’s No.1 fan forever.”
He had a great relationship with the staff.
“I am friendly with everybody, the coaching staff and even the kitchen staff, the ladies in the kitchen!”
The great supporters at Anfield have Sadio’s heart.
“I think whoever is leaving Liverpool, with those supporters you will always miss them because so far [they are] the best in the world and I have always said it.”
Mane still has a house in Liverpool
“I still have my house in Liverpool and everything so for sure I will come back, of course, and I would love one day to come back to Anfield to say hi to them and of course to watch Liverpool playing.”
He has a song named after him but Mane can’t sing it.
“Especially when [they sing] my name, ‘Mane! Running down the wing…!’ – I don’t know, I can’t sing very well!
