We take a look at 11 players who could feature in the Premier League next season if all goes their way according to the latest transfer news.

From Pep Guardiola’s marauding Manchester City to Jurgen Klopp’s shrewd Liverpool, from new owner-fueled Chelsea to a rebuilding Manchester United, the Premier League’s crème de la crème are in for a busy summer transfer window.

The Premier League is the ultimate destination for any football player in the world and come August, a new slew of stars could end up playing in England.

Here are 11 such players who are likely to become a part of the Premier League this season:

1. Frenkie De Jong – Manchester United

Frenkie De Jong is eyeing a reunion with his former manager Erik Ten Hag.

The Dutch superstar has been Manchester United’s prime target this summer, with Erik Ten Hag keen on reuniting with his former player. Although the Barcelona man was initially hesitant about a move away from the Camp Nou, it has become increasingly clear that Barcelona have no choice but to sell him, and as per the latest news, Ten Hag has convinced De Jong to join forces with him at United. The deal is set to be closed at €80 million.

2. Ousmane Dembélé – Chelsea

Ousmane Dembele
Ousmane Dembélé could move to Chelsea this summer.

After a spectacular season at the Camp Nou, in which he racked up 13 assists, Dembélé looks set to leave, with Chelsea the club most keen on acquiring his services. Although a bid has not been made yet, the Blues are ready to spend big to lure the Frenchman to the Bridge. If he manages to stay fit, Dembélé would be a fantastic addition to Tuchel’s side.

3. Darwin Núñez – Liverpool

Darwin Nunez will become Liverpool’s record transfer signing.

Liverpool have finally sealed a move for the Uruguayan superstar, with Benfica confirming that the deal has been completed. Núñez will be a massive boost to Klopp’s side, especially given the fact that Sadio Mané is leaving the club. The deal has reportedly been agreed at €100 million, a hefty sum for the 22-year-old.

Nevertheless, Núñez is an exciting signing and has the potential to lead the Liverpool attack for many years to come.

4. Antony – Manchester United

Antony could lead Manchester United’s attack next season.

Another one of Ten Hag’s men from Ajax, Antony has been linked to Manchester United this summer, with the Red Devils reportedly preparing a £43 million bid for him. The Brazilian would be a much-needed addition to United’s right flank and would fit seamlessly into Ten Hag’s system.

Old Trafford has been crying out for a right winger for years, and Antony might just be the player to fit that hole for longer term.

5. Christopher Nkunku – Arsenal, Manchester United or Chelsea

After missing out on Nunez, Manchester United have set their sights on the prolific goalscorer from Leipzeig.

Another big name linked to the Premier League. After failing to sign Darwin Núñez, United seemed to have turned their attention to Leipzig’s red-hot Frenchman, Christopher Nkunku. However, Leipzig’s asking price of £100 million is very steep, and its uncertain whether United will splash the money to acquire Nkunku’s services.

In a recent twist, however, Arsenal have entered the race, and the Gunners are reportedly ready to shell out a club record £100 million to sign the Frenchman.

6. Jules Koundé – Chelsea

The Frenchman has been in talks with Chelsea for weeks, with the Blues reportedly having already offered €50 million for him. However, they will have to up their bid as Sevilla have set the asking price at €65 million.

Koundé would be a spectacular coup for Tuchel’s side, especially given the fact that they have lost their star defender Antonio Rüdiger, with Andreas Christensen and César Azpilicueta also leaving. At just 23 years of age, Koundé could be a superstar for the longer term at the Bridge.

7. Sergej Milinković-Savić – Arsenal

Arsenal are eyeing the Lazio midfielder this summer.

This is a player that has been linked to Premier League clubs in the past, namely Manchester United. This time around, he has the Gunners interested, with Mikel Arteta keen on bringing the Serbian to the Emirates.

Although no official bid has been made yet, Arsenal are ready to offer a price in the region of £50 million. Lazio’s engine room, Milinković-Savić would not only be a massive boost to Arsenal’s midfield, but it would also be a statement signing at the start of what needs to be a massive window for the Gunners.

8. Denzel Dumfries – Manchester United

Denzel Dumfries could be a part of Man United’s new backline.

Again, it’s Manchester United in the market for a player. This time, it’s Denzel Dumfries, Inter Milan’s explosive right back. Erik Ten Hag is keen on bringing yet another Dutchman to Old Trafford and Inter have reportedly set a £26 million asking price.

Dumfries would be a massive boost to the United XI, especially given the fact that they have been yearning for a right back who can contribute both defensively and offensively.

9. Owen Wijndal – Tottenham Hotspur

Of course, another fullback for Conte. Having already couped Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, Tottenham technical director Fabio Paratici is showing no signs of slowing down in the market. With Djed Spence potentially joining, Conte is keen on adding another fullback to his squad, this time one on the left side of defence.

Spurs have entered talks with AZ Alkmaar to acquire Wijndal’s services, with an £8.5 million fee likely to be agreed upon for the 22-year-old.

10. Sven Botman – Arsenal, Chelsea or Newcastle United

How can a transfer news list be complete without Newcastle United mentioned? The Magpies are edging closer to a £32 million deal for the Lille defender. Botman is another Dutchman linked to the Premier League, and he will surely be a massive boost to Newcastle’s backline. After failing to acquire Botman in the January window, Eddie Howe’s side look set to complete the move this time around.

11. Hugo Ekitike – Newcastle United

Ekitike is close to signing for Newcastle United.

Again, it’s the Magpies in the hunt to sign a star player. This time, it’s Reims’s talisman up top, Hugo Ekitike. A deal in the region of £40 million could be agreed upon as early as this week. Etikike is highly rated and would be a fantastic addition to what is shaping up to be an exciting side under Eddie Howe. The 19-year-old is a player for the ages and could one of the key figures of Newcastle’s anticipated success in the future.
